MACE AWARD WINNER
The Centre for Prospective Students (CPS) is responsible for developing and maintaining the webpage, www.maties.com, for prospective students and recognises the reality that prospective students are often introduced to Stellenbosch University through this website. The needs and preferences of prospective students are therefore constantly taken into account in the on-going development and maintenance of the website. This and the increasing popularity of www.maties.com as a communicative tool with prospective students motivated the CPS to obtain the assistance of Netmechanic to redesign the website in 2010.
We jumped into this project feet first to create targeted visuals and an attractive online brand through the home page.
The maties.com site earned us a MACE Excellence Award for best website in a higher educational environment in 2011.
NetMechanic was approached by The Centre for Prospective Students (CPS) to developed the Maties.com website through the help of their customized content management system, NetToolbox. This system allowed for tablet and mobile viewing of the Maties.com site as well as features like advanced search functions and media manager.
NetMechanic added strong social media capabilities to the site to encourage the use of Maties.com as a prime communicative tool for students.
