Step-by-Step Setup
- Launch Outlook Mobile:
– Open the Outlook app on your mobile device.
- Navigate to Settings:
– If this is your first account, skip to step 3. Otherwise, open the Menu, tap ’Settings’, then ‘Add Account’.
- Add Account:
– Enter your email address and select ‘Add Account’.
– If automatic setup fails, choose ‘Set Up Account Manually’ and then select ‘IMAP’.
- Enter Account Details:
– Fill in the following fields:
– Email address: Your full email address (in lowercase).
– Password: Your email password (reset via konsoleH if forgotten).
– Display name: Your full name (e.g., John Smith).
– Description: Enter a label for the account (e.g., Work).
- Advanced Settings:
– Refer to your email settings by entering your email address in the ‘Show Settings’ box above.
- IMAP Settings – Incoming Mail Server:
– Server: Starts with “mail.” followed by your domain name (e.g., mail.example.com).
– Username: Your full email address.
– Password: Your mailbox password.
- SMTP Settings – Outgoing Mail Server:
– Server: Starts with “smtp.” followed by your domain name (e.g., smtp.example.com).
– Username: Same as IMAP (your full email address).
– Password: Same as IMAP (your mailbox password).
- Sign In:
– Click on ‘Sign In’ to proceed.
- Confirmation:
– The next screen will confirm the successful addition of your email account.
– To add another email account, select ‘Let’s Do it!’ Otherwise, choose ‘Maybe Later’.
