Setting Up Mailboxes and Aliases via konsoleH
Creating new email addresses (mailboxes) or mail aliases (forwarders) for your domain is straightforward with the control panel. Follow these steps to get started:
- Access konsoleH:
– Log in to konsoleH at the Admin or Domain level.
- Select Your Domain:
  – Navigate to the Hosting Services tab and choose the domain where you want to create the new email address or alias.Â
- Manage Mail Accounts:
– From the left-hand menu, click on “Mail” and then “Manage Accounts.”
– The main window will display all active email accounts and aliases associated with your domain. Each new hosting account includes a default mailbox named webmaster@.
- Create New Mailbox or Alias:
– Click on “New Mailbox” to create a new email account or “New Mail Alias” to set up a forwarding email address.
– Enter the following details:
– Username: The email address you wish to create (e.g., [email protected]).
– Password: Create a secure password using a combination of letters and numbers.
– Verify Password: Retype the password for confirmation.
– Forward (for aliases): Specify an alternative email address if you want incoming mail to be forwarded.
- Save Your Settings:
– Click on “Add” to create the mailbox or alias.
Important Notes:
– By default, the catch-all mailbox is disabled on Web hosting packages. If you want to receive all emails sent to any username at your domain in a single mailbox, you can enable the catch-all feature by selecting “Edit” on the Mailbox Accounts page.
– Once your email account is set up on the server, configure your preferred email program or client (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird) to connect to the server for sending and receiving emails.
– If you are transferring a domain to our service, it’s advisable to set up your email accounts beforehand to ensure uninterrupted communication.
